House fire leaves owner injured in Fowler

staff report

FOWLER— A fire at a township home sent the homeowner to Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren with minor injuries.

Firefighters from Fowler, Cortland, Hartford, Johnson and the Vienna Air Force Base responded to the call around 6 p.m. Friday.

By the time firefighters arrived at the home, at 4338 Everett-Cortland Hull Road, the house was engulfed in flames, said Roger Laird, supervisor for the Trumbull County Sheriff’s Department.

A damage estimate is still unknown, but the National Fire Repair was called to the scene to board up the home, he added.

The cause is still under investigation, Laird said.

The sheriff’s department did not have the name of the homeowner.
