OSHP investigating crash that claimed life of Warren man

WARREN — Ohio State Highway Patrol authorities are investigating a one-car accident that took the life of a 55-year-old city man.

According to police, Douglas R. Williams of Draper Street was traveling north on state Route 82 early Friday when he lost control of his 1999 Ford Taurus, crossed the median and landed in a ditch.

An OSHP representative said it was later determined that Williams died of a heart condition, not the actual car accident.

Further investigation will be conducted by the highway patrol and the Trumbull County Coroner’s office.
