A summary of recent criminal activity in Girard, Liberty and Hubbard:
GIRARD
Nov. 24
Criminal damaging: A man left his residence in the 200 block of South Market Street and noticed tire tracks through his yard.
Nov. 25
Possible attempted burglary: A Trumbull Avenue man and his girlfriend saw someone exit a next-door neighbor’s trailer via a side door and flee.
LIBERTY
Nov. 20
Arrest: Officers picked up a Niles man, 29, wanted on a warrant from the township charging him with failing to appear for a violation-of-probation hearing.
Identity fraud: A Church Hill-Hubbard Road man discovered someone had opened an account in his name and charged $545 worth of services.
Drugs: A traffic stop in the 4000 block of Belmont Avenue led to a 34-year-old Campbell man’s being charged with possession of marijuana when, police said, he dropped a small amount of suspected marijuana. He also was charged with driving under suspension.
Theft: A 46-year-old Warren woman was accused of pumping $29 worth of gasoline and leaving a Shell Xpress station, 3990 Belmont Ave., without paying.
Burglary: A woman reported that someone entered and ransacked her Trumbull Court apartment before taking a 30-inch flat-screen TV and a microwave oven.
Nov. 21
Arrests: Police received a tip that a juvenile who had run away was at a Darlington Avenue home. There, they charged a Warren girl, 17, with being a juvenile runaway, and a Girard man, 19, with obstructing official business after saying both were hiding from officers.
Arrest: After pulling over a vehicle near state Route 193 for running a red light, police found out that the 25-year-old Youngstown man was wanted on a probation-violation charge.
Nov. 22
Aggravated menacing: A Hadley Avenue woman told police an unwanted 59-year-old Youngstown man came to her residence, caused a disturbance and threatened to cut several people with a knife.
Burglary: A Roosevelt Drive woman reported three suspicious males in a blue van at a neighbor’s home. Police discovered damage to a rear door jamb, and that a refrigerator, pots and pans and a sewing machine had been stolen.
Nov. 24
Theft: An Avon Company representative reported having delivered a purse and other items to a Marla Lane woman who she said has refused to pay for the merchandise.
Recovered property: Authorities responded to a vehicle in a ditch near state Route 11 and Tibbets-Wick Road and learned that the 2007 Kia had been stolen in Sharon, Pa.
Nov. 25
Recovered property: A worker for The Lube Stop, 2915 Belmont Ave., discovered a tow dolly on a truck had been stolen in Warren.
HUBBARD
Nov. 20
Bad check: A bad check was passed at Hubbard Gas & Mini Mart, 175 Youngstown-Hubbard Road.
Nov. 21
Criminal mischief: A Rebecca Avenue woman reported someone placed two bags of garbage in her front yard.
Criminal mischief: Officers responded to a report of property damage in the 40 block of Hillview Drive.
Nov. 22
Criminal damaging: A woman told police someone intentionally cracked her 16-year-old daughter’s vehicle’s window while the girl was at Hubbard High School, 350 Hall Ave.
Assault: A Chestnut Ridge Road man reported having been assaulted while at a home in the 100 block of Christian Avenue.
