Man charged in mailing of underwear to girl, 15

YOUNGSTOWN — A 57-year-old New York man has been charged in federal court with the transfer of obscene matter to a 15-year-old Warren girl.

In October 2003, Gary Schor of Utica mailed the girl a pair of underwear that contained his semen, the government said. Schor met the girl on the Internet, William J. Edwards, acting U.S. attorney for the northern district of Ohio, said Wednesday.

If convicted, Schor faces up to 10 years in prison, Edwards said. An information that outlines the charge was filed this week after Schor waived indictment.

He is scheduled to be arraigned Dec. 1 in Cleveland federal court. He will plead guilty that day, said his attorney, Roger M. Synenberg. The plea agreement recommends a sentence of 12 to 18 months, the lawyer said.
