• YOUNGSTOWN — Monsignor Peter Polando officiated at 2 p.m. June 14 as Carla Christine Thompson and Todd Alan Gleydura were united in marriage at Holy Name Church.

The daughter of Jeff and Charlotte Thompson of Naples, Fla., and the son of Gene and Vicki Gleydura of Austintown were honored at a reception at St. Christine Parish Center.

After a wedding trip to Destin, Fla., they live at 2321 Penny Lane, Austintown.

The bride wore a strapless A-line gown of white matte satin embellished with floral beading and embroidery at the waist, the hemline and on the chapel train.

Black gowns were worn by the honor attendant, Rebekah Prior, and the bridesmaids, Genene Kelty; Julie Roussel, the bride’s sister; and Sara Gleydura, a sister of the groom. Flower girls were Madyson Prior, Ryley Prior and the groom’s cousin, Kallie Kontis-Gleydura.

Brett Gleydura was his brother’s best man, and groomsmen were James Kelty, Darrin Miller and Mark Russel. Ring bearer was the bride’s nephew, Alexander Roussel.

The bride graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and is employed at the Medical Center Hospital in Beaver, Pa. The groom holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering construction technology from YSU and is employed by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Mineral Resource Management.
