NORTH JACKSON — Jackson Township trustees will have a meeting to interview new candidates for police chief at 5:30 p.m. today at the government center, 10613 Mahoning Ave.

Struthers dinner

STRUTHERS — High Pointe Church, 5716 Struthers Road, will sponsor the 10th annual community dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. today in the Struthers High School cafeteria, 111 Euclid Ave.

Food baskets will be distributed after the meal. Blankets and coats also will be given away until the supply runs out.

Chris Higbee Project

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. — The Westminster College chapter of Habitat for Humanity will sponsor a benefit concert featuring The Chris Higbee Project at 8:30 p.m. Saturday in Orr Auditorium.

Higbee, founder and fiddler of The Povertyneck Hillbillies, has now formed The Chris Higbee Project.

Proceeds from the concert will support the campus chapter’s spring break work trip to Biloxi, Miss.

Tickets are $10 for Westminster students with ID, $20 for general admission and $30 for reserved seats. Call the Celebrity Series box office at (724) 946-7354 for tickets.

“Doors,” a nationally touring Habitat photo exhibit, will be on display in the art gallery adjacent to Orr Auditorium for viewing beginning at 6:30 p.m.

‘GO Global’ seminar

YOUNGSTOWN — “GO Global,” an export preparedness seminar for small and medium businesses, will be held from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday in Tod Hall on the Youngstown State University campus.

The Ohio Small Business Development Center at YSU and the YSU Williamson Center for International Business are sponsors.
