Nov. 8

Drug abuse: A 28-year-old Salem man was arrested on South Palmyra Road on charges of drug abuse. Police said they found a cigarette box containing a marijuana cigarette.

Drug paraphernalia: Police arrested a 20-year-old Canfield man in Austintown at Burkey Road and Nantucket Drive on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia. Police found a multicolored glass pipe containing marijuana residue.

Paraphernalia/dangerous drugs: Police arrested a 22-year-old Canfield man for possession of bolt cutters and drug paraphernalia. Police said they found a pipe with marijuana residue in it. A second individual, a 20-year-old Canfield man, was arrested for possession and unlawful sale of 71 Nitroquick Sublingual, a nonscheduled controlled substance, and a glass vial of Lidocaine HI. The two were arrested in the parking lot at Perkins, 587 E. Main St. The manager of the ViIlager Apartments saw the pair in a parked car at the apartments and asked them to move.

Nov. 10

Burglary: Entry was gained through an unlocked door at a home in the 500 block of Notre Dame Drive.

Theft: A male juvenile was apprehend for theft at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

Receiving stolen property: A man was arrested in a stolen car and police found criminal tools at the Austintown Plaza.

Nov. 11

Theft: An AM-FM compact disc player and speakers were stolen from an auto at a home in the 5000 block of W. Webb Road.

Theft: Two in-dash stereos were stolen from vehicles at a home in the 5000 block of Lou-Ida Blvd.

Theft: A GPS device and a cordless drill were stolen from a vehicle at a home in the 1000 block of County Line Road.

Burglary: $500 in cash and two checkbooks stolen from an apartment in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Drive.

Attempted breaking and entering: Thieves stole compacts discs, flashlights and Motocross riding gear at a home in the 1000 block of County Line Road.

Telephone harassment: A woman is accused of telephone harassment at a home in the 50 block of S. Yorkshire Blvd.

Identity theft: Changes were made to an AT&T mobile account at a home in the 2000 block of Frostwood Drive.

Criminal damaging: A house was spray painted in the 4000 block of Woodleigh Lane.

Theft: Milk and soda were stolen from Shell gas station, 1704 S. Raccoon Road.

Arrest for theft: A man gave consent to search his home in the 100 block of Cedarwood Drive and was arrested after police located stolen property from recent thefts.

Nov. 12

Theft: A truck was burglarized at Pilot Oil, 1050 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Menacing: A woman was a victim of menacing at an apartment in the 1000 block of Compass West apartments.

Theft: Keys and medication were stolen from an apartment in the 400 block of Woodhurst Blvd.

Attempted burglary: A door frame was damaged at a home in the 4000 block of Woodridge Drive.

Burglary: Girard police recovered some items taken in a burglary at a home in the 2000 block of Woodland Trace.

Theft: A flag and pole were stolen from a home in the 70 block of S. Roanoke Ave.

Burglary: There was no forced entry in burglary at a home in the 1000 block of Orkney Ave.

Disorderly conduct: A man was arrested for disorderly conduct at an apartment in the 300 block of Wilcox Road.

Nov. 13

Theft: A handgun was stolen from an auto at the Best Western, 870 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Dumping complaint: Trash was taken to an address in the 2000 block of Whispering Pines Drive by a former landlord.

Criminal damaging: A rear window of a vehicle was shot with a pellet gun at a home in the 600 block of Notre Dame Drive.

Misuse of credit card: A card was used at Golden Food Mart, 4290 New Road.

Theft: A purse was stolen at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Aggravated menacing: Threats were made by an ex-neighbor at a home in the 2000 block of Sprucewood Drive.

Theft: A checkbook, knife and jewelry were stolen from an auto at a home in the 1300 block of Northfield Drive.

Misuse of credit card: Unauthorized charges were made to a Mastercard at a home in the 4000 block of Patricia Ave.

Drug offense: A Youngstown man was arrested on charges of possession of cocaine and marijuana, permitting drug abuse, and drug paraphernalia, including a digital scale at New Road and Lancaster Drive. A woman from Austintown, a companion, was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and on a Niles warrant for theft.

Nov. 14

Forgery: A check was forged with the victim’s name at Marc’s, 4755 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: $550 in cash was stolen from an unlocked safe at a home in the 1000 block of S. Canfield-Niles Road.

Burglary: A television, microwave, tables and a sound system were stolen from a home in the 5000 block of Raspberry Lane.

Theft: A wallet and its contents were stolen at Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Niles-Canfield Road.

Inducing panic: A man was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center after a standoff with police at his home in the 4000 block of Westmont Drive. He threatened to kill his wife and said goodbye to her and would not come out. He eventually did leave the premises and police found an unloaded sawed-off shotgun that appeared to be inoperable.

Theft: Fuel was taken from two company work vans at Ditmore Corp., 1044 N. Meridian Road.

Nov. 15

Drug offense: A Youngstown man was charged with drug abuse of Methadone and Adderall and turned over to Weathersfield police on a warrant for failure to appear in Niles court on a traffic violation at Mahoning Avenue and Meridian Road.

Fraud: Unauthorized charges were made on a victim’s account at a home in the 600 block of Wyndclift Circle.

Attempted auto theft: A rear window was broken out on a 1997 Chevrolet Blazer at Blue Ribbon Motors, 4004 Mahoning Ave.

Burglary: A weed eater, gas blower and sockets were stolen from an attached garage at a home in the 1000 block of Cedarwood Drive.

Theft: Money was stolen from an unattended purse at St. Elizabeth Health Center, 6252 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Summons issued to man for theft at Wal-Mart.

Nov. 16

Menacing: A man is accused of menacing at a home in the 5000 block of Baker St.

Theft: A compact disc and an emergency kit were stolen from an auto at a home in the 4000 block of Deopham Green.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was driven over downspouts at Northwestern Mutual, 55 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Theft: $14,100 was given to a promotional company at a home in the 200 block of Rosemont Ave.

Theft: A unicycle was stolen at a home in the 300 block of N. Roanoke Ave.

Telephone harassment: Text messages were sent as harassing calls to a cell phone at Pizza Pan, 4218 Mahoning Ave.

Aggravated menacing: An unknown male caller was making menacing calls to a home in the 3000 block of Ayrshire Drive.
