McKinley Club Banquet: The 1980 Mahoning Valley McKinley Club banquet drew local and national politicians and community leaders to the Niles McKinley Memorial. U.S. Rep. Lyle Williams, R-19th, left, Mrs. Nettie Ashelman, acting club president, and Joanne Gartner, a senior at Niles McKinley High School, spoke with freshman Congressman Newt Gingrich. Gingrich , R-Georgia, a friend of Williams, was the speaker. Williams, 66, died Nov. 7 in Warren.
