Fantone captures OSHP honor

CANFIELD — Jason R. Fantone has been selected trooper of the year at the Ohio State Highway Patrol Canfield post. Fantone, 32, was selected by supervisors and fellow troopers based on outstanding service, leadership abilities, ethics, courteous treatment of others, enthusiastic work attitude and cooperation with supervisors, peers and the public. He is now in contention for the Warren District and state trooper of the year award. Fantone joined the patrol in May 2004. His lives in Austintown with his wife, Karey, and their daughter Alexis.
