SportsTime Ohio will debut “Kelly Pavlik: Ringside with the Champ” in high definition at 7 p.m. Monday.
The half-hour documentary focuses on Pavlik’s life after winning the middleweight title. It follows “Prelude to a Championship: Kelly Pavlik,” which depicted Kelly’s training schedule prior to the title fight. “The Ghost of Youngstown: Kelly Pavlik,” is the Telly Award winning original one-hour documentary that introduced Pavlik before he fought Edison Miranda last May. All three STO documentaries can be seen in order starting at 8 p.m. on June 7.
“Kelly Pavlik today is the same Kelly Pavlik he was when we first met him over a year ago. Kelly's humility is very unique for a professional athlete in today's society, he has not been spoiled by his success. You will see in this show that Kelly is as determined as ever to keep his title and at the same time share his success with those around him,” said Pat Kilkenney, VP of Programming/Executive Producer for SportsTime Ohio.
The show will go in detail with Kelly’s father and manager, Mike Pavlik, along with his family life with his daughter Sydney. Plus find out what charitable causes Kelly has been involved in. Other airings include Monday night after in the Indians-Rangers game (approximately 11:30), Tuesday (3 a.m.), Wednesday (6 p.m. and 7 p.m.), Thursday (4 a.m. and approximately 11:30 p.m.) and Saturday (7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.).
