Dad faces citations for pit bull that attacked his son

Wednesday, May 28, 2008

YOUNGSTOWN — Paul Richardson Sr., whose tan pit bull dog bit his 6-year-old son Sunday evening, was arraigned today in Municipal Court on two counts each of failure to have insurance for two pit bulls and failure to register vicious dogs.

Richardson, of Republic Avenue, will be back in court July 17 for a pre-trial hearing.

His son, Paul Jr., was attacked by the tan pit bull and required hospital treatment for injuries to his face, head and upper arms. The second dog, a black pit bull, was in the house at the time.
