WARREN — Tom Popadak allowed just two hits in the five innings he pitched as Champion Marlins defeated Cleats Club Seat Grille, 9-1, in Warren AA League.
Popadak struck out eight batters while Mike Sweeney had three hits.
Cleats’ Josh Miller doubled twice.
Cleveland Raiders 6, Yard Cardinals 6
The teams combined for 40 hits in the nine-inning tie.
Nick Dragash led the Cardinals with three hits. Brian Kochunas and Don Lee had two.
For the Raiders, Mel Haag had four hits while Jeff Lonchor had three and a stolen base.
