The youth group and Sunday school participants at Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church, 3919 Southern Blvd., Youngstown, is the only young people’s organization from Eastminster Presbytery and one of two churches in Ohio participating in a national video contest on interpretation of the Scripture, “Do justice, love kindness and walk humbly with your God” — Micah 6:8.
What: Video is titled “Acceptance?” and focuses on the experience of a homeless girl being rejected and accepted. They filmed the video with a digital camera with video capability.
When: Vote at www.ymilive.org through midnight June 1. To vote, sign up, create a screen name and watch videos. Pleasant Grove’s video is on page 6.
Why: Three youth groups will each win a $25,000 endowment fund to support their ministry. The Presbyterian Foundation is distributing the funding.
