BOARDMAN — During the 14th annual Boardman Relay for Life that took place Friday and Saturday, $254,000 was raised to benefit the American Cancer Society.

Al Stabilito, Northeast Ohio public relations director, said Mark Luke, chairman of the event, reported that 115 teams participated this year, with more than 400 cancer survivors walking the opening lap on Friday.

The event which began at 6 p.m. Friday, ended about 6 p.m. Saturday. It took place at Spartan Stadium at Boardman Center Middle School on Market Street across from the Southern Park Mall.
