N. Bloomfield man injured in ATV accident

BLOOMFIELD — A 45-year-old North Bloomfield man suffered serious injuries when he overturned his four-wheel, all-terrain vehicle along state Route 87 early today.

Anthony M. Mullen of North Bloomfield was in the emergency room of St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown. The hospital did not have a condition, but the Ohio State Highway Patrol in Southington said he suffered serious injuries.

The patrol said Mullen was driving a Suzuki four-wheeler eastbound along Route 87, west of state Route 45 shortly after 1 a.m. when he lost control of the ATV, went off the left side of the roadway and overturned in the ditch. The patrol said Mullen was not wearing a helmet, but he had one available.
