X The engagement of Emily Jane Strong and David Alan Wenger, both of Austin, Texas, is announced by parents of the bride-elect, Jane Strong of Glastonbury, Conn., and Raymond Strong and Nancy Gallinger of South Glastonbury.
The future groom is a son of Alan and Marilyn Wenger, 263 E. Pine Lake Road, North Lima.
Miss Strong graduated from Central Connecticut State University with a bachelor's degree in psychology and earned a master's in school psychology at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. She is a part-time teacher for Austin schools.
Mr. Wenger is co-founder and senior consultant at Source Endurance of Austin. He graduated from Miami University at Oxford with a bachelor’s degree in public administration/political science.
The couple have planned a wedding for the evening of Sept. 6 at Mercury Hall in Austin, where a reception will follow. Invitations will be issued for both.
