In Pittsburgh, Evgeni Malkin and Petr Sykora each had two goals and two assists, and the Penguins again had plenty of offense even without Sidney Crosby, beating the slumping Philadelphia Flyers 7-1.
In Columbus, Manny Malhotra provided the offense with two goals and a career-high three points as the Blue Jackets held off the Detroit Red Wings 4-3 to set a franchise record with 75 points.
In Boardman, the Mahoning Valley Phantoms pounded Traverse City, 6-1, for a weekend sweep. C3
