St. Pius X Church, 1402 Moncrest N.W., Warren, begins its annual festival, with live entertainment every night. It runs from 6-11 p.m. today and Friday; 5-11 p.m. Saturday; and 4-11 p.m. Sunday.

Here’s what can be found onstage at the region’s theaters:

“The Emperor’s New Clothes,” 7 p.m. (today only) at Kent Trumbull Theater, 4314 Mahoning Ave. N.W. , Warren. Call (330) 675-8887.

“Echoes of the War,” 7:30 tonight and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday, New Castle Playhouse, 212 E. Long Ave, New Castle; (724) 654-3437.

“Thoroughly Modern Millie,” 8 tonight and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday, Trinity Playhouse, 234 E. Lincoln Way, Lisbon; (330) 424-5093.

“Misplaced Son,” 8 tonight (2 and 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday), Illegal Drama Productions, at Oakland Center for the Arts, 220 W. Boardman St., Youngstown; (330) 746-0404.

jPunchy pop-rockers The Jellybricks show up at Cedars Lounge about once a year, and this is the night. Cedars is at 23 N. Hazel St., Downtown. Call (330) 743-6560.

The Furthermind Festival is the brainchild of singer-songwriter Trevor Quillan, and it promises to further your mind with an eclectic all-day lineup of live music, from rock, to jam to hip-hop. The free festival begins at noon at B&O Station, 530 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown.

Spot On Productions, an improvisational comedy troupe at Kent-Trumbull campus, will present two shows — 5 and 8 p.m. — at Packard Music Hall in Warren. The 5 p.m. show will be geared for all ages and is free. The 8 p.m. show is for ages 18 and older and will deal with more mature themes. A cash bar will be available, and audience members will sit cabaret-style for the evening of laughs. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the box office. The W.D. Packard Concert Band takes to the South Lawn Bandshell at Packard Music Hall for a 7 p.m. free concert titled “June Blooms.”

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers headline a 7:30 p.m. concert at Blossom Music Center, 1145 W. Steels Corners Road, Cuyahoga Falls. The show is sold out. k

The Mahoning Valley Rib Burn-Off returns next Thursday, and runs the whole weekend at the Eastwood Mall parking lot in Niles. Along with the usual array of rib cookers, a musical lineup that includes Donnie Iris (June 27) and Blue Oyster Cult (June 28) is scheduled.
