McDonald school board accepting applications for vacancy

McDONALD — The McDonald school board will start accepting letters of interest Monday for the opening on the board created by the death of William Roux.

People interested in the vacancy must live in the school district and should send letters to the McDonald school board; care of Robert Jones Jr., president; 600 Iowa Ave.; McDonald 44437. The application period will be from Monday to 2:30 p.m. June 27.

The school board will have a special meeting at 10 a.m. July 2 to review applicants and select a new member.

Roux, a 25-year member of the board, died June 10 at the Cleveland Clinic of pulmonary fibrosis. He was 52.
