Exchange student program seeks families and others

Wednesday, June 18, 2008

LA JOLLA, Calif.— The Academic Foundation for International Cultural Exchange is seeking community representatives and host families for this program.

AFICE is a nonprofit educational foundation giving high school students from around the globe the opportunity to live in the United States.

Community representatives are paid support personnel who perform many key duties including interviewing, matching and monitoring the families and students, and serving as the link between the schools, students and host families. Representatives obtain training and support from the AFICE.

Host families provide room and board for high-school students. Their natural parents provide a monthly allowance, and they have full medical coverage.

For more information on how to become a community representative or a host family, visit www.afice.org or call toll free (866) 462-3423.
