Charities to benefit from day of shopping

BOARDMAN — Protestant Family Service and Macy’s are cooperating in a “Shop for a Cause” event that will provide funds for the support of local nonprofit organizations.

The special day of celebration and savings is scheduled for Sept. 20 at Macy’s.

The public is encouraged to purchase $5 shopping pass tickets that will entitle them to 20 percent off regular, sale and clearance apparel and accessories, fashion jewelry, bed and bath items, housewares, crystal and silver; 10 percent off furniture, mattresses and rugs; and an opportunity to win thousands of dollars worth of prizes.
