A summary of recent criminal activity in Boardman:

July 26

Theft: A 38-year-old Youngstown woman was accused in the theft of $259 worth of clothing from Macy’s in the Southern Park Mall.

Stolen property: A Struthers woman, 24, was taken into custody at Mahoning County Court and charged with receiving stolen property. In May, a Youngstown woman had reported her checkbook stolen; the Struthers woman was accused of cashing five checks totaling $700 at a Boardman bank.

Unauthorized use of a vehicle: Youngstown police handed a 27-year-old Youngstown man to Boardman authorities who was wanted on a charge. Earlier, a West Boulevard man accused a friend of taking his 2007 vehicle without consent.

Arrest: A 40-year-old Boardman man was picked up at a local motel on felony charges of forgery and receiving stolen property after his stepfather reported a personal check missing from his home and alleged the stepson cashed it for $125 at a credit union.

Arrest: A 26-year-old Boardman man was arrested in the 8400 block of Market Street on several warrants charging him with failure to appear in court.

Theft: A man reported his 8- by-12-foot utility trailer stolen in the 200 block of McClurg Road.

Vandalism: Someone used a paint marker to vandalize several windows at a Market Street restaurant.

Vandalism: Human feces was found on the driver’s seat and floor of a vehicle belonging to a Market Street dealership.

Theft: A Wellsville woman, 50, faced two counts of theft after $292 worth of clothing was stolen from Sears, and when she admitted having a bag of goods that had been stolen from the JCPenney store. Both are in the Southern Park Mall.

Theft: A Willow Drive man reported two 100-foot extension cords stolen.

Domestic violence: A 35-year-old man staying at a Market Street motel was charged after his girlfriend alleged he grabbed her arm and throat, and held her to a bed during an argument.

Criminal damaging: A window was broken at an apartment complex in the 100 block of Stadium Drive.

Criminal damaging: A worker left a South Avenue business and noticed a 2-inch scratch on her car, possibly done with a key.

Breaking and entering: Someone entered G G Wireless, 6219 Market St., and removed an undisclosed amount of money from a register.

Recovered property: A man found a loaded 9 mm semiautomatic handgun under a bush at his Oak Knoll Drive residence.

July 27

Breaking and entering: Someone entered the garage to a Sciota Avenue residence and took a push mower.

Citation: A Boardman woman, 37, was cited near Market Street on a disorderly conduct charge.

July 28

Auto theft: An Indianola Road woman reported her 1989 Buick Century stolen.

Theft: An undisclosed amount of money was taken from Smokey Bones Barbecue and Grill, 6651 South Ave.

Arrest: A Youngstown man, 20, was apprehended near Ravenwood Avenue and charged with possession of drugs, obstructing official business and resisting arrest, and was wanted on four warrants. After being pulled over near Hillman Way, the man fled on foot and was later found with a bottle containing three tablets, the report said.

Theft: A Boardman woman, 18, and a 21-year-old Struthers man were charged in the theft of a $34 pair of jeans and miscellaneous costume jewelry from Kohl’s, 383 Boardman-Poland Road.

Theft: A 31-year-old East Liverpool woman faced two counts of drug possession and one count of theft after a DVD was stolen from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive. She also had a container with several loose pills, police said.

Theft: An 18-year-old woman and a man, 19, both of Boardman, were charged after $294 worth of merchandise was stolen from Wal-Mart. He also was charged with possession of criminal tools.

Theft: A $55 pair of sunglasses was stolen from Macy’s, resulting in a theft charge against a 27-year-old Boardman woman.

Theft: A 23-year-old Lordstown man wanted in that city on a theft charge was taken into custody on Washington Boulevard.

Theft: A worker for a Market Street eatery left and discovered $55 missing from her car.

Theft: A Lemont Drive woman reported the theft of checks from her mailbox.

Burglary: Roughly $1,200 worth of copper was removed from a vacant Leighton Avenue home after someone entered via a bedroom window.

Assault: A Struthers man alleged an employee of a Market Street business choked, pushed and kicked the accuser during an argument. The victim had no visible injuries.

Criminal mischief: A Cherrywood Drive woman saw that someone removed stakes from her garden and pulled out several plants.

Attempted burglary: Someone tried to push open a window and enter an East Midlothian Boulevard apartment.

Vandalism: A vehicle’s passenger-side mirror and its bracket were broken at a business in the 1300 block of Boardman-Canfield Road.

July 29

Theft: A Boardman woman reported an MP3 player and a pair of sunglasses stolen from her vehicle while in the 3400 block of Flora Lane.

Arrest: Officers investigated a suspicious vehicle in the 3900 block of Hillman Way, where they charged a 21-year-old Youngstown man with obstructing official business.

Burglary: A Tanglewood Drive woman saw two men flee from her garage. Nothing appeared to be missing.
