Astros Falcons rally to beat Cincinnati

STRUTHERS — The Astro Falcons trailed 7-0 and 10-8 before rallying for a 12-10 victory over the Cincinnati Stix in the CABA World Series (18u) at Cene Park Tuesday.

TJ Rosenberg drove home the go-ahead runs with a two-out single in the sixth, and in the top of the seventh Pat Mulligan came on with the tying runs on base and no one out and struck out the next three batters to put the game away.

Rosenberg and Bobby Herberger each finished with three hits for the Astros.

Johnny Renz hit an inside the park home run for Cincinnati and Ryan Troehler drove home four runs for the Stix.

Northern Ohio Hurricanes 12, Astro Falcons 8

The Hurricanes scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth to hand Astro its first loss.

Greg Steuterman had a home run, triple, and a single and drove home five runs while Andrew Nemecek added three hits, Craig Reinkes, Kyle Von Dyke, and Kyle Lewandowski two each for the Hurricanes.

Jared Turocy had three hits for the Falcons while Shane Wagner had a pair of hits and drove home three runs.

Diamond Premier 9, Rondinelli Tuxedo 0

Diamond Premier handed Rondinelli its first loss with a five-inning victory.

Jason Pasluzzi allowed just one hit with four strikeouts for the win as Diamond scored four times in the first, two runs scoring on a triple by John Mastronicolas.

Kody Krizman also had a triple for Diamond.
