Traffic backed up on Route 11 southbound in Vienna

VIENNA — Traffic was backed up about a mile on state Route 11 southbound just after 8 am. today. The tie-up occurred because crews closed one lane of Route 11 in both directions to facilitate work on the Niles-Vienna Road bridge over Route 11. That bridge is being replaced because it was damaged when a garbage hauler hit it last year.
