No. 1 Connecticut 86, Cincinnati 49

HARTFORD, Conn. — Renee Montgomery scored a career-high 27 points and Connecticut remained undefeated. Montgomery hit 7-of-11 from 3-point range, and was 10-of-17 from the floor. Freshman Maya Moore had 21 points and 11 rebounds, and Kaili McLaren had 10 points and 10 boards for UConn (17-0, 5-0 Big East). Kahla Roudebush had 16 points to lead Cincinnati (10-7, 1-4), which took 28 shots from behind the arc, hitting just eight. Jill Stephens added 15 points and seven rebounds.

No. 8 California 66, Arizona 45

TUCSON, Ariz. — Alexis Gray-Lawson scored 19 points and made five of California’s season-high 10 3-pointers to help the Bears earn their ninth consecutive victory. Arizona (6-12, 0-7) lost its eighth straight game. Rheya Neabors paced the Wildcats with 13 points, and Ashley Whisonant and Amina Njonkou each had 10. Devanei Hampton and Ashley Walker finished with 10 points apiece for California.

Temple 68, No. 13 George Washington 66

PHILADELPHIA — Shanea Cotton’s basket with 23 seconds left lifted Temple. Lindsay Kimmel scored 15 points on five 3-pointers and Lady Comfort and Ashley Morris added 14 each for the Owls (9-10, 2-1 Atlantic 10). Sarah-Jo Lawrence scored 17 and Kimberly Beck had 15 for George Washington (14-4, 2-1).

No. 14 West Virginia 68, St. John’s 44

NEW YORK — Olayinka Sanni scored 22 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead West Virginia. LaQuita Owens added 15 points and six rebounds for the Mountaineers (14-3, 4-1 Big East). Joy McCorvey scored 10 points to lead St. John’s (10-7, 1-3).
