Rev. Coy is new pastor of church in Warren

WARREN — The Rev. Walter Coy is the new pastor of First United Church of Christ, 280 E. Market St. He will be installed at 2 p.m. April 27; he began his assignment Jan. 27.
The Rev. Mr. Coy graduated from Youngstown State University with an associate degree in law enforcement and a bachelor's degree in religious studies. He earned a master of divinity degree from Ashland Theological Seminary in Ohio and also studied counseling and psychology. He is trained in conflict management.

Mr. Coy was ordained in 1989. He has served at several churches in Ohio and as a prison chaplain.

Mr. Coy lives in Canfield with his wife, Joyce, and son. They have three adult children.
