Obama: ‘Youngstown this is our moment!”

YOUNGSTOWN — Democratic U.S. Sen. Barack Obama brought a message of hope to Youngstown today, addressing an estimated 5,600 supporters at a rally in Youngstown State University’s Beeghly Center.

Saying he has been accused of being naive and unrealistic, Obama said it isn’t blind optimism or being ignorant of the roadblocks those seeking change must face.

Hope means imagining and working for those things you wish to change, the Illinois senator said.
“Youngstown, this is our moment”, he added.

Obama, who also spent some time at RTI Titanium earlier in Weathersfield Township, was off to his next speaking engagement in Wisconsin after leaving Youngstown.
