NEW CASTLE, Pa. — The Laurel High School Conservation Club will have its 23rd Annual Sportsman’s Night Out on Feb. 29. The event will feature more than 30 outdoors vendors and displays, raffles and door prizes, concessions and children’s games. The featured speaker will be Steve Stoltz, a world champion turkey caller. Those planning to attend are encouraged to bring in a whitetail mount for the “Whitetail Wall of Fame” and receive free admission and eligibility for a special raffle package. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Admission is $3 (free for senior citizens and kids under 12) and all proceeds benefit the Conservation Club. The event will be at Laurel High School, located on Pa. Route 108 across from the Lawrence County Fairgrounds.

Man dies in crash

BRISTOL — A Trumbull County man was killed Saturday in a one-car accident here, the Warren Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported. Michael T. Fenselon, 35, of 8366 state Route 45, North Bloomfield, was killed when his eastbound Chevrolet van left the road on state Route 88 and struck a tree. The accident happened at 1:46 a.m. Saturday. Fenselon was taken by helicopter to St. Elizabeth Health Center, where he was pronounced dead, the patrol said. The patrol is investigating the crash. Fenselon was wearing a seat belt.

Hot line training classes

YOUNGSTOWN — Help Hotline Crisis Center is offering free training classes for people interested in volunteering for the 24-hour Hotline. Classes will meet from 6 to 9:30 p.m., on five consecutive Mondays, beginning March 3, through March 31; and on one Saturday, April 5, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Volunteers are asked to make a six-month commitment. 1908 Cadillac is winner

CANFIELD — Canfield resident Ken George’s 1908 Cadillac Roadster was honored as the best of class for Cadillacs from the years 1902 to 1924 at the Glenmoor Gathering of Significant Automobiles held in Canton last Sept. 14-16. Last year was the 13th annual Glenmoor Gathering. It included a classic automobile show at Glenmoor Country Club. Themes for the 2007 show were “Cadillac: Standard of the World” and “Alternative Fuel Cars — Past and Present.” The show featured several classes of classics and antiques, as well as muscle cars, American and foreign sports cars, hot rods and motorcycles.

Salem history book

SALEM — A book, “The Salem Story Continues,” documenting the Salem bicentennial and Salem’s history from 1956 to 2006, is now for sale. Two dozen sections focus on all aspects of life and the community. The book contains more than 150 pages of text, hundreds of black-and-white images, and 75 color photographs. All events celebrating the bicentennial, including the burial of the bicentennial time capsule, are included. The cost of the book is $25, which includes a color poster of historic facts about Salem on one side and an aerial photograph on the other. Shipping and handling are available for a $5 fee. The book is available from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce, and from 9 a.m. to noon Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at the Salem Historical Society.

Milton trustees meeting

LAKE MILTON — Milton Township trustees, who usually have their monthly meetings on Tuesdays, will meet this month at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the township hall on Milton Avenue.

Living-will seminar set

YOUNGSTOWN — Phillips Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, 1407 Victor Ave., will sponsor a living-will seminar at 11 a.m. Feb. 28. A legal aid managing attorney will answer questions about wills and probate court. A legal aid kit for wills and living wills will be distributed. A follow-up session will be held at a later date.
