Key Foundation donates $10,000 to Beatitude House

Tuesday, December 30, 2008

YOUNGSTOWN — Beatitude House has received a $10,000 grant from the Key Foundation.

Sixty percent of the money received will support the House’s education and career preparation program The Potter’s Wheel, while the remaining 40 percent will be used for expansion of the Beatitude House’s Warren location.

Last year through The Potter’s Wheel program, 24 women found employment, 17 attended post-secondary education and four obtained their General Educational Development diplomas. These women are continuing to overcome obstacles and are breaking the cycle of poverty, says a Beatitude House press release.
