Lowellville 53, Springfield 51

LOWELLVILLE — Anthony Schiraldi’s 3-point goal at the buzzer lifted Lowellville. With four seconds left and Springfield leading, 51-50, Mike Basista of South Range threw the ball into play from under the Lowellville basket to Mike Mangine, who then passed downcourt to Schiraldi near the half-court line. Schiraldi who unleashed a shot that banked in for the game-winner. Springfield had rallied from a 49-43 deficit with 1:30 left to take the 51-50 lead on Jim Zubick’s two free throws. Schiraldi finished with 18 points while Basista added 11 with 11 rebounds for Lowellville (5-1). Eric Lipp scored 13 points, Todd Kibby 12 and Zubick 11 to lead Springfield (3-3).

Warren Harding 65, Cle. St. Ignatius 58

CLEVELAND — Warren Harding junior Fred Williams scored a season-high 23 points to lead Harding (5-0), which took a 39-22 halftime lead. YSU recruit Sheldon Brogdon scored 16 points and Desmar Jackson added 14 in the victory. Dan Fox scored 17 points to lead Ignatius (2-2), who made just 10 of 25 free throws.

Boardman 86, Chaney 55

BOARDMAN — Ryan Pesta made four 3-pointers and finished with 22 points to lead the Spartans (2-3), who outscored Chaney 53-29 in the second half to pull away in the second game of the Boardman Holiday Classic. J.T Moore added 19 points and 15 rebounds, Mark Popovec had 11 and Jordan Karzmer had 10 for the Spartans. Mike Parker led Chaney (1-5) with 16 points, seven rebounds, four assists and three steals.

Hubbard 58, Girard 39

GIRARD — Kurtis Drummond led the Eagles (6-1) with 23 points, while Bobby Thompson added 13 as Hubbard outscored the Indians )-6) 34-19 over the final two quarters. Mat Pagano paced Girard with 10 points.

Lordstown 52, Mineral Ridge 48

LORDSTOWN — Steve Cribley scored six of his 13 points in the fourth quarter as the Red Devils outscored Ridge 16-9 in the final period to rally for the win. Brian Whitfield scored 16 points and Billy Wright had 10 for Lordstown (2-5). Cody Graham had 32 points for Mineral Ridge (0-5).

Linsly, W.Va. 91, Beaver Local 79

EAST LIVERPOOL — Pat Milton tossed in 24 points as Linsly, W. Va. won the consolation game of the East Liverpool Holiday Tournament. Brady Gunther had 21 points for Beaver Local (0-7).

Newton Falls 61, Southeast 35

RAVENNA — Marcus Fowler scored a season-high 21 points with 13 rebounds to lead Newton Falls (7-0), which took a 22-9 halftime lead. Todd Medallis added 14 points. For Southeast (0-6), Travis Smith had 12 points.

Garfield 74, Bristol 71

BRISTOLVILLE — Joe Collins tossed in 23 points and Garrettsville Garfield held off Bristol. Bristol (1-5) led 31-30 at halftime. John Evans led Bristol with 23 points and Andrew Holko added 19.
