14 athletes earn degrees; four receive honors

YOUNGSTOWN — Fourteen Youngstown State student-athletes earned their degrees following the conclusion of the fall semester. Graduation ceremonies were Sunday at YSU’s Beeghly Center.

Earning degrees were Julia Darling (swimming), Tom Krupko (football), Michael Perri (track and field), Justin Banks (baseball), Leon Edwards (football), Scott Streiner (track and field), McKenzie Bedra (softball), Jamie Fornal (softball), Erich Diedrich (baseball), Cari Leslie (volleyball), Dustin Thomas (baseball), Byron Davis (basketball), De’Angelo Wilson (football) and Christi Williams (soccer).

Of the 14 athletes who graduated, four did so with honors. Krupko graduated Summa Cum Laude, Darling graduated Magna Cum Laude while Perri and Leslie graduated Cum Laude. Krupko was an Honors Program graduate as well.

Also graduating over the weekend was Monica Lisko, a former athletics department intern.

YSU Athletics Marketing student Nick Odille earned his Master’s Degree in Accounting.
