• LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Ashley Cooper and Garrett Merkley were united in marriage on Aug. 16 at the Excalibur Canterbury Chapel, and a reception followed at the Monte Carlo Grand Ballroom.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Howard of Warren, and Mr. and Mrs. James Cooper of Las Vegas. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Chris Merkley of San Jose, Calif.
The bride’s cousin, Lauren Bezilla, was the honor attendant, and bridesmaids were Kristen Catullo and Alyssa Goist.
The duties of best man were performed by Robert DuCharme, and serving as groomsmen were Mike Pederson and Ethan Elash.
Mr. Merkley is a corporal with the U.S. Marine Corps., stationed at Miramar in San Diego, Calif.
The couple are living in San Diego, Calif.
