Opportunities abound for volunteer instructors, first-time hunters

As hunting season kicks into high gear, so do hunter education instructors.

Volunteer instructors who want to ensure that anyone wishing to hunt may have that opportunity to teach most hunter education courses.

There are hunter education courses available statewide to hunters of all ages with more still being added to the schedule.

Convenient home study courses are also available. All first-time hunters have two options: (1) participate in a hunter education course during which they will learn firearm safety, archery, hunter safety and responsibility, Ohio’s hunting regulations and wildlife conservation or (2) purchase an apprentice hunting license.
