Apple butter to be made at Park Vista festival

YOUNGSTOWN — Park Vista Retirement Community, 1216 Fifth Ave., will have its annual Apple Butter Festival from noon to 3:30 p.m. Sept. 6. The hand-stirred apple butter will be made in a large kettle over an open fire and will be available for sale. Also available will be apple cider, popcorn, hot apple dumplings, ice cream, and hot dogs.

Children’s activities are planned and there will be Grotto clowns, a trash and treasure sale, a basket raffle, and a craft sale.

Featured entertainment at the event will be by the Rocky Chirchiglia Band and the Castle County Cloggers. In case of inclement weather, the festival will be indoors.
