Fire destroys South Side home

YOUNGSTOWN — The house at 851 Cameron Ave. on the South Side was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived around 4:20 p.m. Tuesday.

For safety reasons it was allowed to burn down. Witnesses saw two young men run through the rear yard shortly before firefighters arrived. It wasn’t immediately clear if anyone lived in the house. Damage was set at $10,000, a total loss. The cause is under investigation.
