Several shots fired into East Side home, no one injured

YOUNGSTOWN — A woman who lives in the 1700 block of Atkinson Avenue on the East Side told police her house was shot up late Monday night by a man who she said previously stole her nephew’s car and set it on fire.

The woman said nine shots were fired around 11:30 p.m. Police said they found two bullets had penetrated a front bedroom wall. No injuries were reported. A report of the matter was turned over to detectives.
