YSU’s De’Angelo Wilson ready for season to begin

YOUNGSTOWN — Youngstown State football team’s defensive unit was proudly wearing their red practice jerseys that they secured for another season in last Saturday’s jersey scrimmage against the offense.

Senior cornerback De’Angelo Wilson was one of those proudly displaying his jersey, but Wilson was also quick to say that the Penguins, including the defense, still have some work to do before the season begins.

“We did a pretty good job on Saturday, but there is still some work to do,” Wilson said. “There were a couple of missed assignments that have to be corrected and we just have to continue to work hard through the remaining practices that we have.”
