How long have you been involved?

“I’ve been involved from day one. When Joe and DeDe [Joe Naples and Dominic “DeDe” Modarelli came up with the festival idea] called me, I thought they were crazy, and then in two weeks, we had it together. The first year we kept losing power, but nothing stopped it.”

What does it mean to be the man of the year?

“It’s a real honor, because there are people who should have gotten this before me.”

How do you deal with all the cooking?

“It’s a lot of pressure, but I love it. After church we have a spaghetti dinner, just like a regular Sunday at home.”

What’s your favorite part of the fest?

“Seeing the people I only see once a year.”

Why should people who haven’t ever come to the fest visit this year?

“This is the only place you can get peaches in your wine. Can’t beat the music, and they are all local bands.”
