Family observes Sebastian 60th at dinner party

X STRUTHERS — Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Sebastian, 561 Audrey Lane, were honored by family members as they observed their 60th wedding anniversary April 5 during a dinner party at Steamers Restaurant in North Lima.

Hosts for the occasion were their children and their spouses, Donald and Jennie Sebastian of Columbus, Samuel and Maria Sebastian of Poland, and James and Betty Sebastian of Struthers. There are four grandchildren in the family.

The former Violet Marchionda and Mr. Sebastian were united in marriage April 3, 1948, at St. Nicholas Church, where they are members.

Mrs. Sebastian, a seamstress, was employed at Harr Tailoring and also performed seamstress services for family members and friends from her home. She is a member of the Altar and Rosary Society of the church and the Auxiliary to VFW Post 3538.

Mr. Sebastian served with the U.S. Army during World War II during the Battle of the Bulge. He received a Purple Heart, and is a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the VFW Post 3538. He also belongs to the 300 Club at the church.

In 1978, he retired from Youngstown Sheet and Tube Co. and LTV Steel in Youngstown, where he was a steelworker.
