Western Reserve cruises; Leetonia drops Wellsville

BERLIN CENTER — Western Reserve produced 206 yards rushing and 140 passing yards in a 56-14 rout of Jackson-Milton in an Inter-Tri-County Tier Two game Friday night.

Jason Lude rushed six times for 47 yards, which included touchdown runs of 1, 24 and 2 yards to pace Western Reserve (3-2, 2-0).

Jeff Balent of Jackson-Milton (0-5, 0-2) caught TD passes of 14 yards from Ben Dierkes and 10 yards from Ben Carlile.

Wellsville 21

WELLSVILLE — Jake Kruegel ran for 106 yards and a touchdown and Jamie Milsom scored two touchdowns to lead Leetonia (3-2, 2-0), which took a 27-0 lead en route to the Tier Two win.

Zane Carter caught two touchdown passes from Brenton Coven for Wellsville (1-4, 0-2), which committed six turnovers.

MCDONALD — The Blue Devils led 14-0 at halftime when play was suspended because of a power outage.

The contest will resume today at 11 a.m.

The Blue Devils’ Joe Witkoski scored on a 7-yard run and Alex Sampson on a 25-yard and Steve Beta kicked a pair of extra points for the lead.
