XThe engagement of Nicole R. Gergley and Samuel J. Protopapa, both of Hubbard, is being announced by their parents, Ross Gergley of Garden City, S.C., Reneé Mantz of McDonald, and James and Sandra Protopapa of Hubbard.
The bride-to-be, a photographer, is pursuing a degree in nursing.
The prospective groom, a graduate of MTC Police Academy, is a corrections officer with the Corrections Corporations of America and a police officer with Hubbard Township Police Department.
Invitations will be issued for the couple’s Oct. 20 wedding at Summit Assembly Church of God in Girard and for an evening reception at the Knights of Columbus Hall in McDonald.
