XYOUNGSTOWN — Luis Raul Bonilla and his bride, the former Tracy Simmons, accepted congratulations during a Hawaiian luau-themed reception that was held aboard the Gateway Clipper Ship, “The Majestic,” after their Aug. 10 wedding at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park.

Pastor Raphael Cruz officiated as the couple were united in marriage during an intimate family ceremony that took place at 12:30 p.m. They have postponed their wedding trip to Venice, Fla., until later this year, and live in Youngstown.

Parents of the bride are Mary Jane and Charles Beight of Lake Milton, and Becky Simmons of Rootstown, and the late John Simmons. The groom’s parents are Pedro and Fela Bonilla of Youngstown.

Fashioned of georgette and satin, the bride’s tea-length gown was designed with a handkerchief hemline.

Judy Konen of Delray Beach, Fla., served as honor attendant for her sister. She wore a celery green gown.

The duties of best man were performed by Ryan Vega of Mineral Ridge, a nephew of the groom.

Mrs. Bonilla is employed by Youngstown Police Department, and Mr. Bonilla is employed at General Motors in Lordstown.
