XPOLAND — The Aug. 10 wedding of Rebecca Schepka, a daughter of Lou and Nancy Schepka of Poland, and Jeff Dutton, a son of Eleanor Dutton of Poland took place at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
Following the 3 p.m. ceremony officiated by Pastor Rusty Wills, a reception was held in honor of the couple at The Georgetown in Boardman.
The bride’s white gown featured a satin bodice with a sweetheart neckline and spaghetti straps, a basque waistline and a tulle ballgown skirt that flowed into a chapel train.
Lorie Varkonda was the honor attendant for her sister, and bridesmaids were Jessica Zebrasky; Linda Carbon; Kim Anthony; Erin Boose; Mariah Varkonda, a niece of the bride; and Nikki Tuchek, the groom’s cousin. They wore blue topaz gowns. Flower girl was also a cousin of the groom, Marissa Sudac.
The duties of best man were performed by the groom’s brother, Kenny Dutton. Serving as groomsmen were Robert Schepka, a brother of the bride; Shawn Durkin; Ed Stephenson; Nicky Pastella; Austin Yemma; and the groom’s cousin, Joey Tuchek. Ring bearer was Carmeron Yemma.
The bride earned an associate degree in accounting from Youngstown State University and the groom graduated from YSU with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. Both are employed by Northeast Ohio Correctional Center in Youngstown where she is an administrative clerk and he is a case manager.
