Three charged in fight at Youngstown bar

YOUNGSTOWN — Three city men have been charged with felonious assault for kicking and hitting a 54-year-old man with pool sticks and their fists at the Pit Stop Bar, 1564 Logan Ave., Friday night.

Witnesses said Michael Crytzer, 33, of Baldwin Street, Ryan S. Crytzer, 24, of McGuffey Road, and Jason R. Havens, 24, of Baldwin Street, assaulted Jimmy L. Smith of Park Avenue, Youngstown.

When police officers arrived at the bar at around 10:49 p.m., the Crytzers and Hagens were leaving the bar, and a bartender shouted that officers should arrest the three because they “just beat the s--- out of a man inside here.”

Officers found Smith on the floor bleeding from his head and face. Smith was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center. The hospital would not give out any information on Smith’s condition late Saturday.

Smith told officers the men had kicked him and punched him in the parking lot and later hit him with pool sticks and ash trays inside the bar.
