15 bouts on tap at Yankee Lake

BROOKFIELD — A pre-Halloween fight card will take place Saturday at the Yankee Lake “Brawlroom” with 15 bouts on tap.

The card features 16 boxers who hail from either Pittsburgh or Erie, three from Michigan and the rest from the Valley.

Local promoter Chuck Nelson has also added four female bouts with a large screen television screen also available to those who wish to view the Saturday college football games.

“We’re really excited about this card because it gives all of the fighters a chance to showcase their talents. It’s an excellent mix of fighters with four female bouts set as well. All bouts are expected to be very competitive,” Nelson said.

The co-main event competitors both hail from Campbell. Chris Hazimihalis (18-5, 140 lbs.) from Jack Loew’s South Side Boxing Club will take on Chris Williams (7-6, 149 lbs.) of Pittsburgh while Jack Jericio (7-1, 149 lbs) of Keith Burnside’s Stable, will square off against Aundras Kameryou (149 lbs), also a Pittsburgh native.

Cost is $15 for general admission and $20 for ringside table tickets.

Doors will open at 1 p.m. with the card set to get underway at 2 p.m.

Yankee Lake is located on Route 7, two miles north from Brookfield Square.
