STRUTHERS — Leo Hicks, Matt McWilson and Eric Martinez each scored a goal as Cardinal Mooney defeated Lakeview, 3-2, in a Division II boys district soccer semifinal game at Valley Sports Complex Monday.
Rob Fox, Scott Blasko and Sean Sikich had an assist apiece for the Cardinals (14-3-1).
Nick Massacci and Pete Bielecki scored a goal apiece for the Bulldogs (12-3-4). Joel Davis had an assist.
Mooney had 14 shots on goal and Lakeview had 11.
Jon Critell had nine saves for the Cardinals. Greg Pecorelli had 11 saves for Lakeview.
Mooney takes on Howland (11-0-7) at Valley Sports Thursday at 7 p.m. for the district title.
Crestview 4, Warren JFK 0
NEW WATERFORD — Crestview made the most of its first time in the Div. III district tournament as it got two goals from Aaron Stewart and one each from Brian Bechtel and Mitchell See.
Greg Bing had two assists and See one for the Rebels (15-2-1). Warren JFK completed its season 11-4-2.
Badger 2, Bloomfield 0
KINSMAN — Badger (16-0-1) kept its winning streak alive as Marcus Heath and Sam Miller each scored a goal in the Div. III district semifinal game. Shawn Brainard and Jeff Ashcroft had an assist apiece.
Aaron Hennessey had 10 saves as Bloomfield completed its season with a 4-10-4 record.
Badger will play host to Crestview Thursday at 4 p.m. for the district championship.
