Beirut bombing
The Beirut Bombing of 1983 killed 241 Marines, soldiers and sailors, including three local men. A memorial service to be held 1 p.m. Sunday will honor the Marines:
Cpl. Edward Anthony Johnston, 22, of Struthers.
L/Cpl. Stanley Sliwinski, 20, of Niles.
Sgt. James McDonough, 21, of New Castle, Pa.
