A summary of recent criminal activity in Boardman:

Nov. 22

Arrest: Police responded to an argument at a Shields Road apartment, where they took into custody a 37-year-old woman wanted on charges of obstructing official business, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Stolen property: Officers picked up a New Middletown man, 28, at his residence on a warrant from Boardman charging him with receiving stolen property. The man traded for cash property stolen during a burglary in Youngstown, police said.

Drugs: Officers cited a 25-year-old Poland man at the Southern Park Mall on a charge of possession of drugs after saying he had suspected marijuana.

Theft: A Poland woman’s purse was taken from a cart as she shopped at a Doral Drive store.

Arrest: Officers responded to a possible domestic situation at a Melrose Avenue residence and apprehended an 18-year-old Struthers man nearby. He was wanted on a charge of probation violation.

Breaking and entering: A worker for Yankee Kitchen Restaurant, 6615 Market St., realized a rear door’s hinges were removed when someone entered. Nothing appeared to be missing, however.

Theft: A woman reported the theft of $70 and two credit cards while at a Boardman-Poland Road business.

Assault/drugs: A Moyer Avenue woman had scratches on her legs and a bloody lip after being assaulted. She also was cited when police said they saw a suspected marijuana cigarette in her home.

Criminal mischief: Someone tossed eggs at a Spring Park Drive home.

Identity theft: A Youngstown woman discovered someone provided phony information about her to receive medical treatment at a Market Street facility.

Nov. 23

Theft: Police arrested a 19-year-old Youngstown woman on a theft charge after $240 worth of children’s clothing was stolen from the J.C. Penney store in the Southern Park Mall.

Counterfeit: A 41-year-old Ellwood City, Pa., woman faced a felony count of criminal simulation after a worker for Checksmart, 112 Boardman-Poland Road, reported four phony travelers checks had been presented.

Domestic violence: A South Avenue man, 34, was arrested at his home and charged after a woman reported being a victim. The accuser was not injured.

Criminal damaging: A man discovered $200 worth of damage to a concrete deer statue at his West Parkside Drive residence.

Theft: A woman, 24, and a 32-year-old man, both of Youngstown, faced theft charges. The two were accused of taking a total of 13 jewelry, hardware and beauty items from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.

Theft: A dealer license plate was removed from a vehicle at a Market Street car dealership.

Breaking and entering: An employee with Agnew Farm Equipment, 7700 Market St., found out someone broke in through a rear window. A package of gasoline cans was missing.

Drugs: Officers charged a Boardman man, 27, with possession of crack cocaine, drug-abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia after investigating a possible drug overdose.

Assault: An Austintown man sustained a bump to his forehead after being assaulted while visiting friends at a Lockwood Boulevard home.

Theft: A 16-year-old New Springfield boy was charged after being accused of taking two MP3 players from Best Buy, 561 Boardman-Poland Road. He also faced one count of underage possession of tobacco.

Criminal mischief: A man driving near Southern Boulevard and Terrace Drive reported his vent and side windows were shattered.

Nov. 24

Arrest: Authorities responded to a complaint of people causing problems at South Avenue restaurant and arrested a 38-year-old Lyndhurst, Ohio, man on two counts of disorderly conduct and one count each of criminal trespassing, obstructing official business and resisting arrest. The intoxicated suspect refused to leave, became belligerent and failed to cooperate with police, the report said.

Attempted burglary: Someone tried to break into a vacant Amherst Avenue residence and damaged three patio door windows.

Assault: A Poland man and a friend reported being assaulted at a Boardman-Poland Road eatery. One victim had an injury to his right eye.

Theft: A 25-year-old Kensington man was charged after a $100 polo jacket was stolen from Sears in the Southern Park Mall.

Theft: Two coats worth a total of $180 were taken from the J.C. Penney store, resulting in a 52-year-old Campbell man’s being charged with theft.

Burglary: A Glenwood Avenue woman discovered a break-in. A 32-inch TV and 15 Vicodin tablets were stolen.

Theft: Someone removed a $997 laptop computer from Sam’s Club, 6361 South Ave.

Nov. 25

Theft: A Gilbert Drive man reported thefts from his vehicle and four others in his neighborhood. Stolen were two prescription bottles, 15 compact discs, credit cards and MP3 players.

Theft: A South Avenue woman reported $100 stolen from her home.

Theft: A Withers Drive man discovered 25 checks, a cell phone, two knives and 12 CDs stolen from his car.

Vandalism: An employee with WKBN-TV, 3930 Sunset Blvd., reported a 3-foot-by-6-foot section of a glass door had been broken. Damage was estimated at $750.

Arrest: Officers responded to a possible domestic situation at a Garden Valley Drive home, where they arrested a 26-year-old woman upon learning she was wanted on a warrant from Niles charging her with passing bad checks.

Arrest: A vehicle registration check in the 7300 block of South Avenue resulted in the arrest of a Euclid, Ohio, man, 48, who was wanted on a warrant from the Ohio Parole Authority charging him with a parole violation.

Arrest: Officers assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol with a traffic stop on U.S. Route 224 and arrested a 46-year-old Campbell woman on two felony counts of forgery.

Bad checks: The Ohio State Highway Patrol pulled over a Youngstown man, 27, near U.S. Route 224 and Interstate 680, and he was taken into custody when Boardman police found out he was wanted on a charge of passing bad checks.

Nov. 26

Domestic violence: A 25-year-old Boardman-Canfield Road man was charged after his wife reported being a victim. The accuser had redness on both arms.
