2 sex offenders who didn’t register are found

YOUNGSTOWN — Two sex offenders who failed to register their current address with the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Department have been located.

Michael M. Patterson, 50, was arrested Monday by members of the Street Crimes Unit/Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force at the restaurant where he works in Boardman.

He was convicted of gross sexual imposition in 1993 and is classified as a sexually oriented offender. Patterson was video-arraigned Tuesday in municipal court on felony charges of failure to notify of change of address and failure to verify the address before his registration date earlier this month. Judge Robert P. Milich set bond at $20,000.

Patterson told the judge his address is 48 St. Louis Ave. on the city’s South Side, but his arrest report shows his address as The Tower Motel in Boardman. The South Side address was last registered with the sheriff’s department a year ago.

The second missing offender, Kenneth Kimbrough, 26, a sexually oriented offender, was located in a federal prison.

A list of missing sex offenders was featured Sunday in The Vindicator. Since then, the U.S. Marshals Service has been receiving tips at 1 (866) 4WANTED. Rewards are available.
