Chamber plans annual parade in Columbiana

COLUMBIANA — The Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce will have its annual Christmas parade at 10 a.m. Saturday.

The theme this year is “Christmas is Sharing.” Those who attend the parade are invited to bring canned goods, which will be featured on the chamber’s float. Immediately after the parade, all donations will be taken to the Way Station.

The parade will form at Joshua Dixon School and proceed along Salem Street to Main Street and then south into the downtown area.

After the parade, there will be pictures with Santa at the log cabin for $3 and carriage rides will be available on the square.

The First Presbyterian Church on East Park Avenue is hosting a Christmas lunch and the Columbiana Women’s Club is sponsoring a Christmas tea and home tour in conjunction with the local merchants’ celebration, “Christmas in the Village.”

The Columbiana Public Library is planning a showing of children’s Christmas movies, beginning at 1:30 p.m.
